Welcome

Welcome to the new ACF Wilts County HQ Annual Camp administration site.  This site has been designed to ease the administration for parents when applying for cadets to attend Annual Camp.  The site will host electronic forms and Surveys to improve the application process and cut down on the administrative burden for parents, Adult Volunteers and Professional Support Staff.

WILTS ACF RESIDENTIAL ANNUAL CAMP 2023 – CROWBOROUGH CAMP, EAST SUSSEX SATURDAY XX JULY 2023 TO XX AUGUST 2023

Wilts ACF are pleased to announce that this year’s Annual Summer Camp will take place from Saturday xx July 2023 to xx August 2023.  This page provides information about the event and gives you the detail to apply for a place(s) for your child(ren).  You will hopefully have received some details regarding this year’s camp from the Detachment / Company briefings and flyers promulgated around detachments.

Annual Summer Camp 2023 will be held at Crowborough Camp, East Sussex.  Attending cadets will be able to participate in various activities, in line with the new Army Cadet Syllabus training (at the appropriate Star level), a military fieldcraft exercise, an expedition, shooting, sports and a full day of adventurous training.  The parental contribution for camp has been set at at £XXX.XX per cadet (a slight increase on previous years).  Financial support or payment plans can be arranged.  Contact should be made to Detachment Commanders if you require financial assistance to allow your child to attend this year’s camp.

In order to allow planning to begin you are requested to complete the Parental Consent Form [click on Forms and select Parental Consent Form] or complete the Parental Consent Form (hard copy) and hand into the Detachment.  To provisionally secure a place on Summer Camp 2023, you must complete the Cadet Update and Medical Form [click on Forms and select Cadet Force Details Update Form].  A place will only be secured on receipt of the Parental Contribution.  This must be done by 31 March 2023, to enable activities to be booked and deposits paid.  If you have more than one child with Wilts ACF you will need to complete a form for each child. An acknowledgement email will be sent on receipt of all forms, both electronic and paper.  As a reminder and in case parents are unaware, in order to be eligible to attend an annual camp, cadets must have attended at least one residential weekend prior to X July 2023.

Payment for summer camp may be made by bank transfer, cheque or cash and must be made no later than 31 March 2023.  Please indicate your preferred method of payment on the Parental Consent Form.  Cash should not be sent in the post.  Cheques and cash should be paid into the Detachments, signed for and a receipt issued.  This is to provide an audit trail to ensure monies do not go adrift.  Cash should not be sent in the post.  Wilts ACF will not accept liability for cash lost in the post. Cheques are to be made payable to ‘Wilts ACF’.  Bank transfers should be referenced with the cadets P Number and AC23 (i.e.  30035678/AC23).  This will allow money to be associated with the correct cadet.  Where you have more than one child with the cadets, separate payments should be made.  Transfers should be made to:

Wilts ACF – HQ Welfare Fund

Acct: 00560058

Sort Code: 30-92-63

You will understand that advance payments need to be made to activity providers, therefore payments are unlikely to be reimbursed, should a cadet fail to attend annual camp or is sent home. However, a full refund will be made should camp be cancelled for reasons beyond the control of Wilts ACF.

If you child received Free School Meals (FSM), you will be able to obtain a discount against the parental contribution, if evidence can be provided of eligibility (e.g. award letter from the Local Authority). It will also be possible to pay by instalments over the coming months.  If you have any questions regarding this, or any aspect of the Annual camp, then please speak to your Detachment Commander or staff in the first instance.

Closer to annual camp you will receive transport details for pick up and drop off, a packing/kit list, and contact numbers for key members of staff while on camp.
